Major calls for proposals in Palestine: “Enhancing Local Authorities' contribution to governance and development processes in Palestine”

The European Commission has announced calls for proposals and tenders enhancing Local Authorities' contribution to governance and development processes in Palestine. 
The general Objective of the action grants are to support Palestinian Local Authorities' towards reinforced governance, accountability and effective provision of public services and sustainable growth. Welfare providers and promoters of inclusive and sustainable growth at the local level and pilot projects promoting local development through territorial approach (Territorial Approach to Local Development – TALD) can also apply for funding.  
Priority is sought for actions promoting and encouraging better representation and participation of women in Local Authorities and their associations, partnership and networks to strengthen common approaches and agendas and achieve stronger ownership and long-term impact. Priority will be also given to poor/weak and/or peripheral Local Authorities and Local Authorities with significant marginalized communities. 
The overall amount under this call is EUR 3,600,000, with a maximum of EUR 500,000 per grant (with minimum % of rate of EU co-financing: 51% of the total of the eligible costs of the Action
