MedCop: The Climate Voice of the Mediterranean - the CES-MED project carries on with its commitment to the MedCOP Climat at the COP22 in Marrakech

On Wednesday 16 November 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm (Sebou conference room-Green Zone), the closing session of the MedCop Climate was organized as part of COP 22 in Marrakech.

On this occasion the CES-MED project took part in the MED COP expert panel bringing together the UfM, Casablanca Finance City, the Mediterranean Green Economy Network, Tangier University, Tangier Tétouan El Hoceima Regional Council, The Region of Sicily and the Governorate of Sousse.

The intervention of Pierre Couté followed through the previous conference held last July (MedCop of Tangier) and aimed not only at presenting the last actions of the project in terms of training and networking, but also at emphasizing the relevance of the BEI approach and the new criteria for adaptation policies and actions in the new energy and urban planning tools developed by CES-MED in the southern and eastern Mediterranean region.

Looking forward already to the next MedCop of 2017 in Sicily.
