A MOOC on "Energy and Ecological Transitions in the South’’ organised by AFD

The French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement) announced the launch of a massive open online course (MOOC) on "Energy and Ecological Transitions in the South". The course is a partnership with the Ecole Normale Supérieure and orgnaised on the Coursera online learning platform.
 
The course started on September 25, 2017 and registration is open to all. The MOOC is addressing the crosscutting issues related to the sustainable development of countries in the South.
 
The program covers macroeconomic and financial topics, but also has an ecological and climate dimension, with a focus on countries in the South region, and particularly AFD beneficiary countries. 
 
The learning objectives for the training are as follows: 
  1. To be able to link energy transition, ecological transition, the role of energy in the economy, the economic development model, and funding issues
  2. To be able to discuss and  give arguments, on the stakes, the need to change the reality to put in place strategies and action plans
  3. Acquire know-how to link Energy Transition and financing solutions, as well as improved understanding of sustainable actions
