More than 2000 organisations, policymakers, CSOs and stakeholders committed to tackle climate change meet at MedCOP

The Moroccan region of Tangiers Tetouan Al Hoceima hosts, on July 18-19, 2016, the Mediterranean Climate Forum – MEDCOP Climat Tanger 2016. 
The goals of MedCOP are to promote the follow-up of MedCoP21 commitments, to encourage multi-actor collaborations among Mediterranean stakeholders and to coordinate their committment to prepare a « Mediterranean of projects », allowing to design a road map for adaptation and mitigation.
The President of the Region of Tangiers Tetouan Al Hoceima and the organisers have prepared a rich programme composed by high level conferences, 6 main debates, 10 workshops andmeetings, 3 main events and 12 side events.
On July 18th, our  experts - Mr. Naguib Amin, CES-MED Team Leader and Mr. Pierre Couté - Key Expert, Local Development in Maghreb, will participate in the MEDCOP Forum.
Mr. Couté will speak in Workshop 6 on "Building and Housing: promoting Mediterranean skills" (Hall 3, 9H00/12H00) and also in the Grand Debates (GD6) ''How to transform urban spaces in order to deal with climate challenges'' (Hall 8, 11H30/12H30). 
Mr. Naguib Amin will take part in Workshop 6 and a discussion panel organised by UfM.
